I'd like to travel to less touristy/more difficult locations, but I'm working up to it - I wouldn't just dive in! I had to give her props for being so gutsy. I would've liked to see more of that spirit in the rest of the book!Melody (Melody & Words)http://www.melodyandwords.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5918892767071973314.post-49875769133999533022011-06-28T21:56:03.996-04:002011-06-28T21:56:03.996-04:00I was afraid to read this for that very reason...I...I was afraid to read this for that very reason...I like lots of travel in my travel memoirs. Beyond that, I felt the story drift a little.Amusedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12657337249497691366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5918892767071973314.post-64034460646159537682011-06-27T11:47:19.223-04:002011-06-27T11:47:19.223-04:00It always irks me when a book starts off strong, a...It always irks me when a book starts off strong, and slowly goes downhill until the end. It does sound like this book had unrealized potential and I am sorry that it wasn't a stellar read for you. I do have to admit that the premise sounds interesting, as I am another one who loves to travel and wonders about the meaning of home in my life. Great review on this one.
