I have more reading to do before I can say who should win - luckily, the finalists are short! I never realized it was on the radar for awards, I haven't read the others, so right now I'm routing for it. I have a hard time with dog fighting, and though I could appreciate the symbolism and themes that Ward was working on, the framework and plot were, at times, too much for me.Zibileehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07443338685890187334noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5918892767071973314.post-55838786984284349662011-10-13T00:01:39.963-04:002011-10-13T00:01:39.963-04:00Well, I was thrilled to see both Obreht's and ...Well, I was thrilled to see both Obreht's and Ward's novels on the short list as I gave both of them 5 stars. Either one is deserving of the win (and I was so glad to see female authors nominated this year too).Wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14332796775305098552noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5918892767071973314.post-42234035977716420112011-10-12T22:04:48.982-04:002011-10-12T22:04:48.982-04:00I really want to read Buddha in the Attic as it...I really want to read Buddha in the Attic as it's set in SF but other than that I'll be watching for your reviews to see if I should add anymore to add them to my TBR!Amusedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12657337249497691366noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5918892767071973314.post-65988899182845591322011-10-12T21:05:43.484-04:002011-10-12T21:05:43.484-04:00I can't wait to read Salvage the Bones - I was...I can't wait to read Salvage the Bones - I was intrigued by the few reviews I saw last month, especially Wendy's.
