January 2011 Reading Goals
Yesterday I shared my 2011 Reading Goals with you, and I'm hitting the ground running this month to keep myself on track. Here's what I hope to read in January: Larry's Party by Carol Shields won the Orange Prize in 1998 Small Wars by Sadie Jones was on the Orange Prize longlist in 2010 The Lotus Eaters by Tatjana Soli was one of Janet Maslin's Top 10 books of 2010 The History of Love by Nicole Krauss, one of the 20 Under 40 Hamlet is the first of 12 Shakespeare plays I plan to read this year The Arabian Nights is the first of the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter is also one of the 1001 Books to Read Before You Die A Vindication of the Rights of Woman by Mary Wollstonecraft is a re-read for the Year of Feminist Classics I also hope to start making my way through these novels from the Best of Year lists: Matterhorn by Karl Marlantes The Imperfectionists by Tom Rachman ...
